This is a useful starting point for many discussions about how we value different life forms and how we decide which are better than others. It takes the form of a knockout table – and I have never known this activity not to work in a classroom as a platform for a fantastic heated fun discussion!

This is an optional lesson which asks students to debate issues around sexual orientation. This is included in the diocese's "Love & Sex Matters" material as it was recommended under the curriculum review undertaken in 2010 (by the previous Government) that this topic be covered in KS3.
